Herbal Medicine Consultations

Initial 1 hour consultation - £120

• A full case history and family medical history is taken
• Your diet and lifestyle are discussed
• Any medication and supplements you are taking are discussed
• A physical examination is given, if necessary
• Advice is given on any tests needed to confirm the diagnosis and the extent of any underlying problem
• Advice is given on diet and dietary supplementation, where appropriate
• If no tests are required, a herbal prescription tailored to your unique needs is formulated

Follow-up 30 minute consultation - £60

• To discuss test results, the treatment plan and the diet, if necessary
• Further follow ups are usually every four weeks to assess progress and adjust prescription as necessary
• Medication is reduced and then stopped completely, when the problem has been resolved
• Some chronic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis etc. may require constant medication with less frequent follow ups

Herbal Prescriptions

• Medicines are authorised by the Department of Health's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and licensed under the European Directive on Traditional Herbal Medicine
• High quality medicinal plant extracts give a high and consistent level of clinical success
• Medicine of liquid tincture costs approx. £10.00 for a week's supply
• Tablets vary in cost - approx. £20 for a month's supply, depending on what herbs are used
• Creams and ointments cost approx. £15.00
