Herbal Medicine Consultations

Initial 1 hour consultation

• A full case history and family medical history is taken
• Your diet and lifestyle are discussed
• Any medication and supplements you are taking are discussed
• A physical examination is given, if necessary, and also advice on any blood tests needed to confirm the diagnosis
• Advice is given on dietary supplementation
• A Herbal prescription tailored to your unique needs is formulated

Follow-up 30 minute consultation

• Usually three weeks after initial consultation to assess progress of treatment
• Further follow ups - monthly or as necessary.
• Medication is reduced and then stopped completely, when the problem has been resolved
• Some conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis may require constant medication

Herbal Prescriptions

• Medicines are authorised by the Department of Health's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and licensed under the European Directive on Traditional Herbal Medicine
• High quality medicinal plant extracts give a high and consistent level of clinical success
• Medicine of liquid tincture costs approx. £10.00 for a week's supply
• Creams and oiintments cost approx. £8.00
