Testimonials

“I am normally very calm and positive but the menopause made me feel like a different person. At times I felt unhinged and struggled with life both at work and at home. I wanted to avoid HRT. Having read that herbal medicine can help, I made an appointment. I can't believe how much better I feel!” -  Fiona, London

Bacterial Cystitis feed

PMS

Bacterial Cystitis is a very uncomfortable condition. Where possible, it is best to avoid antibiotics unless your  symptoms are accompanied by fever, blood in the urine, loin pain, or lower backache, in which case you should consult your doctor immediately, as all these can be signs of a kidney infection.

Every woman should have Enzymatic Therapy's Actifruit in her cupboard. This high quality health supplement can be taken to help prevent cystitis. Be warned that many Cranberry drinks have added sugar, which will feed the bacteria in the bladder.

If you have to take antibiotics, it is very important that you take a probiotic during treatment, although as far away from the antibiotic dose as possible and on an empty stomach. Bedtime is often a good time. It is worth taking the probiotic for a month afterwards.

It's very important not to get dehydrated as that is also a trigger. Drink at least 2 litres of bottled water per day.
